How Can I Get Involved?

South River UMC offers numerous ministries for people of all ages, from preschool age to senior citizen. Most groups meet once or twice a month for fellowship and growth through the study of god’s word. 



South River UMC Preschool
A ministry for children ages 2 years old to 4 years old. Preschool meets Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:15am- 12:30pm.

Young Believers
A ministry for children in grades K-5. Young Believers meet on the first and third Sunday of each month.

Pre-Teens and Teens  

A ministry for Middle and High School Youth. The youth meet at 5 pm on the first and third Sunday of each month, as well as throughout each month for fun activities, mission opportunities, and retreats.


Offered 3 times a year, the Women’s Bible Study consists of a 6-week “no homework” study which uses a guide book to help us search through Scripture on specific life issues. (Cost $6) 
Meets at
7 pm on Thursday nights at our parsonage. Child care at the church can be organized, if you request it ahead of time.

The Men’s Bible Study is an informal group of men who gather together weekly throughout the year to share, pray and study the Bible together. They are currently studying the gospel of Mark.
Meets at
7:15 pm every Thrusday
night in a member’s home.

Senior Citizens

Good Timers
A ministry for all Senior Citizens who join together monthly for a covered-dish lunch, fellowship, and a program.
